Prometheus

Inspired by that which is not necessarily considered beautiful, yet are essential to earth's life systems, this is Prometheus: Prose, Anatomy, and Insects. It explores the beauty of human body parts, as well as the delicate forms of insects, which we never seem to pay much mind to. We never notice how wonderfully intricate and helpful they can be because we brush them off as bothersome. Some of them still scare me, but I wanted to come to respect them glorify them in the way that I appreciate my body, the shell that holds soul and allows me to interact with the world. I included 3 poems I wrote. I loved making this. I hope you enjoy looking at it!

Materials:
I used burnt orange decorative and Stonehenge paper, pen and ink, and gouache and some water colours. I bound it using the Japanese stab binding technique.
